You can tell

You can tell when someone is lying.

You can tell when they whisper to call you back,

to reach you later,

but they won't.

You can tell the fake laughter,

the decent smile,

the blurry sight, and right away,

you know it's over.

Am I too negative? Probably.

But at least I won't crumble in despair.
